I purchased an i7 6700 non k with a gtx 1080 a couple weeks ago.

The extra power supply requirements looks to be to cover overclocking headroom and vr power requirements vr power dissipates at the hmd so is outside the cards tdp value.
Now what power supply should i need to get this rig working was thinking about 2x evga supernova 1600 g2 which has 9x 6 2 pins 5x 6 pins.
Gpus may draw their tdp 20 or more under heavy load depending on overclock boosting characteristics partner model limitations or cpu limitations.
So per rig im gonan have 8x 1080ti s gigabyte geforce gtx 1080 ti 11g this one to be precise it has 2x8 6 2 pins.
